PARTICIPANTS’ PROFILE & PREREQUISITES
The camps are open to male and female athletes and their personal coaches. Federations should select developing athletes who have had a few years of organised training and demonstrated the potential to be among the best nationally in the event of the camp. Coaches must be the personal coach of the selected athletes.
CONTENT
Activities that take place during the camp include:
· Practical sessions of fitness and technical training directed by the personal coaches and observed by the expert coaches (these sessions will be videoed for evaluation)
· Theory workshops aimed at development of the personal coaches’ knowledge (conducted by the expert coaches)
· A special competition for the participants (to be organised at the end of the camp)
· Development of a complete profile for each athlete using individual evaluation, medical observation, and psycho-physical and technical tests
· Review of each athlete’s training programme by his/her coach and the expert coaches
· After each camp, the expert coaches will conduct a follow up of the athletes through contact with the personal coaches
The RDC and expert coaches will determine the specific activities and timetable for each camp based on the needs of the participating athletes/personal coaches and local conditions.
